Karnafuly Dry Dock Limited (KDDL)

Karnafuly Dry Dock Ltd. (KDDL) is a major maritime infrastructure project under Hermes Corporation, developed through its shipbuilding partner, Karnafuly Ship Builders Ltd. (KSBL). Located in Badalpura, Anwara, Chittagong—within the Chittagong Port Authority jurisdiction—KDDL is built to support the construction and repair of large vessels up to 150,000 DWT. Spanning 100 acres, the facility includes a modern dry dock, advanced pumping systems, and heavy-lift cranes to ensure efficient operations.

Backed by decades of engineering excellence from KSBL, KDDL is designed to strengthen Bangladesh’s self-reliance in ship maintenance and position the country as a regional hub for maritime services. Guided by Hermes Corporation’s vision of strategic growth and regional impact, KDDL is a key component of its broader initiative to integrate infrastructure, logistics, and industrial capacity.
