Asif Arafat Islam is a seasoned business leader with over decades of experience across the shipbuilding, cruise line, manpower, telecommunications, real estate, facility management and service sectors. He has held senior roles at multi-national organizations including Karnafuly Ship Builders Ltd, Karnafuly Cruise Line, Banglalink, Regus, Bproperty.com, and several others.

In 2019, he founded Hermes Corporation and Hermes Provision Limited, a consultancy and business facilitation firm that has grown into a trusted partner for companies seeking expansion in Bangladesh and beyond borders. Under his leadership, Hermes specializes in mergers and acquisitions, manpower, shipbuilding, cross-border trade, strategic partnerships, and financial advisory—bridging local insight with global opportunity.

Asif’s ability to align strategy with execution has helped transform underperforming ventures, launch pioneering initiatives such as Bangladesh’s first luxury cruise brand, and build meaningful international collaborations.
